What mixed grains do you use for this recipe?

Hi Sara! We used those microwaveable mixed grain pouches you can buy from the supermarket for this recipe, however, you can use whichever you'd like if you'd prefer to cook from scratch. Pearl barley, quinoa, freekeh, amaranth, bulgur, millet, rice – all of those will work well! The only thing to be wary of is that you'll need 500g cooked weight rather than 500g uncooked weight if you are cooking your grains.

Used a broad bean, edamame and pea mixture. Added this along with the mixed grains to the frying pan. For once my wife actually sai she would have paid good money for this in a restaurant!

Absolutely lovely. Best recipe I’ve made on mob so far. Only change I made was spring onions instead of shallot. Will be a regular on my meal planner.

I used mint as well as chives and added some chilli flakes to the pea mix. I also had potato wedges instead of grain mix . Very tasty dish :)

This dish is now a firm go-to every single week! Quick, so tasty and can be made healthy by using a low-fat yoghurt. I used microwave mushroom rice instead of mixed grains which seemed to work just as well! This is one I would highly recommend!

Is the Greek yoghurt?

Hi Peter! You can use Greek yoghurt or natural yoghurt – the Greek yoghurt will just be thicker in consistency.

Hi Lea! You can cook the grains yourself and season them with salt and pepper to taste. You could add a little olive oil and lemon juice too if you like.

Delicious! Really quick and simple to make. Have cooked this multiple times now. Subbed spring onions for shallot this time, and served with cous cous

Have this every week now! Swapped grains to cubed potatoes and dill instead of chives. All very tasty and using the air fryer have got the cook time down
